Grammy's 90th Birthday

Happy Birthday Grammy!

Bruce and the kids went to Brooksville, Florida to help Grammy celebrate her 90th birthday. She barely looks a day over 65!! For as long as the children can remember, we traveled to visit their great-grandparents every Easter break. Riding the golf cart and getting goodies from Grandad were some of their memories. I am at home organizing and getting ready for the start of school.

This trip, after spending time with Grammie, Memaw, Aunt Sylvia and John and Heath, they visited St. Augustine. Of course, climbing the St. Augustine lighthouse was on the agenda. The kids really enjoyed Ripley's Believe It or Not. All and all, it was a great time for them with Bruce!!

Kentucky Tradition

We have been camping at The Land Between the Lakes in Hillman Ferry since 2003! This year, Memaw rented a house boat for the week. We stayed in a lakefront condo on the lake with the Holeman's. Going back and forth to the boathouse, tubing behind Todd's boat, and yes; Morgan and Matthew went water skiing!! Lots of cousins, fun, and water sports. Of course, the vacation went by way too fast. It was so great seeing everyone, Grandmother, Aunt Pat, the new baby Alyssa!

Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Jerry's

After a great dinner

Kevin is sure growing up!!
We had such a great time with Kevin and Li!!! I think the older girls were a little embarrassed by our dancing on the tables when we went out to eat at Ompa's Greek restaurant, but how often do us grown ups get to act like kids?? Uncle Jerry had some moves going on and Matthew's eyes were like saucers when he saw the belly dancer! Jeannie and Jerry were so tolerant of the kids swimming in the pool late at night and got a good idea what its like to have teens. The cousins had a blast at Boomers and us girls got a night out at the Cheesecake Factory while the guys went fishing. It went by so fast and as always its hard to say goodbye...

April parochial basketball and science fair

This month a pipe broke and flooded our house! We are living on Folly Beach(what a sacrifice). Michael's basketball team won 1st place in their league and 2nd overall. Morgan played basketball too, but for some reason(maybe the drama of the flood) oh yeah, the camera got wet when the house flooded so there is a lapse in pictures. Well, she played hard anyway. The middle school science fair was this month. We are loving Folly Beach and the kids have made friends and gotten to know many of the owners of the local shops. Off season is great- not much traffic or crowds.
