Christmas is about family & memories!! I love my family, the one I grew up with and my family with Bruce. I love my inlaws! To my sisters who weren't at T Bones with us, I know you were both making great memories with your families, because you're wonderful mommies!! Going to church and eating out is so fun. Of course, Santa came Christmas morning! Merry Christmas!!!

Seems like just yesterday they were so young....
We are enjoying some time off from school/work and spending the days baking, shopping, watching movies, just hanging out together. Of course we are staying up late and sleeping in! The holidays are a great time for getting together with cousins and friends. Thanks to all who sent Christmas cards and pictures. What a treat to get personal mail from family & friends!!! Enjoy the holidays. Love to all!!

Matthew
Matthew and I read The Big Field by Mike Lupicia this past summer. It is a really good book and I attribute that book to his renewed interest in playing baseball. He took last year off, and decided late to play this year. Well, he has probably had just about his best season ever. He has played catcher and just happens to have a really good coach who has taught him lots. This Monday they have the final tournament game and are playing for 1st place in their division. Good luck to Matt and Ye Ole Fashioned!
Citadel traditions...
We love going to the Citadel games, especially when family can go with us. Cathy and Maggie & Daniel came to help us tailgate with our new tent. YES Bruce finally got a tail gating tent!! After years of sweating in the hot sun, or getting wet in the ran, he finally broke down and did it-THE TENT! So, this year has been fun grilling out and watching the Bulldogs.

Michael and football
Monday, August 17, 2009
time to say goodbye to the lazy summer days and return to living on a schedule. The supplies are bought, everyone has new clothes and clean shoes, alarm clocks are being set, bedtimes are being moved up, and here we go entering another great school year. Michael will be going to public school this year. Morgan is looking forward to her Sophomore year at James Island Charter. Matthew loves Ft Johnson Middle and is so ready to see all his friends again. Michael is nervous, but I know he will do well. And me? I am ready to go back to school with all the wonderful middle school kids.
